An old render on our farm that grabbed our attention. Compositionally balanced, and with remarkable display of the artist’s grasp of anatomy. An especially notable feature of this piece is how the viewer’s eye is gracefully led to the main figure’s face from the auxilliary figures, the snakes, his pose and finally the fauna around his face. A great example of technical skill and artistic sensibility.
