One particularly difficult variable was sand particles, which relied on Houdini's Alembic cache linked to the assembly scenes. GarageFarm's seamless integration and rendering capabilities allowed the team to overcome the limitations of Cinema 4D in handling character animation and external references, enabling the team's vision to be realized efficiently and effectively.
Global collaboration through remote work
The production of Panchita was the culmination of a worldwide effort, with more than 30 professionals from various parts of the globe collaborating remotely. This process was facilitated by tools such as Dropbox for file sharing, SyncSketch for animation reviews, and Notion for project management.
