Jaemin Han, a 3D artist and Blender YouTuber, invites us into a poetic and visually rich celebration of Korean heritage through his latest personal project: a 30 second loop animation centered on Geunjeongjeon Hall from Gyeongbokgung Palace. Rendered with the help of GarageFarm.NET, the project merges traditional Korean aesthetics with technical precision and deep personal meaning.
At the heart of the animation is the powerful symbolism of a door slowly opening, revealing Geunjeongjeon rising from beneath a still water surface. For Jaemin, this image captures the “inner power and spirit” that resides within all of us, and his goal was to inspire viewers to recognize and take pride in their own inner strength.
“I wanted to express the solid faith and energy that exist deep within, rather than the outside world of the door.”
Before diving into 3D, Jaemin spent six years as a motion graphic designer before joining the army, working on design, shooting, and editing. A defining moment in his career was watching Transformers for the first time. The realism of giant robots moving on screen was a turning point that revealed how technology could bring imagination to life. That realization has fueled his path as a visual artist ever since.

Today, his specialty lies in creating environmental artwork, featuring environments that are not only visually stunning but emotionally resonant.
“I love the power that space gives me, and I'm confident in creating creative and beautiful spaces.”
The most challenging aspect was recreating an authentic Korean landscape and atmosphere, especially with numerous natural assets adding to the file size and render times. GarageFarm’s render farm helped resolve these performance hurdles, allowing Jaemin to focus on creativity rather than technical limitations.

For this project, Jaemin rendered a total of 660 frames using Blender and the Cycles renderer. Each frame took approximately 1 minute and 51 seconds, totaling about 2 hours and 30 minutes. On a local machine, the same job would have taken up to five days, particularly due to the complexity of the environment and the use of high resolution natural elements.
Jaemin first discovered GarageFarm while searching for rendering solutions during a heavy Blender VFX project. He was drawn in by the offer of free credits and stayed for the ease of use and helpful support.

Although he faced an early issue with the PSA add-on not applying during test renders, GarageFarm’s support team resolved it within 30 minutes. This kind of responsiveness, he notes, sets GarageFarm apart from other services with complex interfaces and less effective communication.
“The pricing policy is reasonable, and the permanent 33% discount offered to Blender users was particularly attractive.“
While Jaemin acknowledges the buzz around AI, he is more excited about innovations in display technologies like XR glasses, transparent screens, and dome displays. He imagines a future where cities are filled with holograms of artwork, much like scenes from Blade Runner.

He also keeps an eye on tools like Unreal Engine’s MetaHuman and expects Unreal and Blender to continue dominating the creative pipeline. However, he finds most current AI tools immature and is not actively using them, noting how difficult or inefficient it is to use.
“Even if I try to incorporate it [AI] into my workflow, it feels like investing in uncertainty. So while I always have high hopes for the results, they often end up being useless.”
However, one exception has been made for NANO banana, which he uses for generating textures, typography, and reference images.

Jaemin’s future plans include growing his YouTube channel and encouraging others to create art, not necessarily in 3D or Blender, but in any form that lets imagination thrive. In conclusion, the message is simple: we all have a power inside of us, and we shouldn’t be afraid to start creating. Whether you're testing out a new idea or making a concept in your head a reality, taking that step is the beginning of something creative.
“I dreamed of a life where I could bring my childhood imagination to life.”
