Medusa’s hair is making fans see red

Medusa’s hair in the graphic novels relies on the certain effects provided by the artist’s strokes and shading that aren't an accurate representation of the physical properties of real hair. Recreating this with a 3d hair simulation may not play out as gracefully because viewers are now seeing this happening against a real environment.

They specialize in VFX for commercials and movies but also pride themselves in content creation and VR. We've had a chance to work with them on their large scale stereo 3D project for a 5D cinema.

Georgios is a very interesting artist and filmmaker from Greece. His journey into the world of CG started in 2002 when he graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki where he studied Civil Engineering. However, even though the sciences and the technical nature of his education were fun, this wasn’t necessarily his cup of tea.
