CONTEST HAS ENDED

frequently asked questions

  • What do you mean by a beast? I’m not sure I’m understanding the theme.

Create a render of anything that alludes to the word BEAST- a werewolf, a mech – octopus, monster truck or your grandma on a bad day – be as creative with the theme as possible!

  • How will the entries be judged?

Your render will be judged based on technical skill (modeling/sculpting/lighting/rendering), aesthetics (composition/visual storytelling) and clever use of the theme (BEASTS). Your work will be judged internally and we will be considering peer reviews as a small factor in deciding the winner.

  • Do I have to be a great modeler to win?

Absolutely not. Though it definitely helps, there are other aspects that can make your work stand out: great texturing, framing, lighting and visual storytelling are all given the same weight as modelling in the judging process

  • When should I sign up for the contest?

You should sign up as soon as you decide to participate. We will then send you all the additional info you’ll need throughout the contest. It will also give you more time to test out our farm and run some test jobs beforehand. Just remember that how you spend your credits is up to you, and you will not be given more free credit if you run out.

  • Why should I participate?

There’s a clear deadline and other competitors to keep you motivated. Thousands of visitors will see your work featured on our homepage. And as a bonus you get some cool prizes.

  • Do I need to pay for rendering my contest work on your farm?

We got you covered with $50 render credits that will be enough to render all your work.

  • What if I need help with using your farm?

We have a QuickStart page with all the useful links for you. On top of that, you can talk to us through our Facebook messenger whenever need help.
